I'm finally in another country! It's taken two flights. The first dunedin to Auckland and the second Auckland to Kuala Lumpur! My trip still did not feel real as I said goodbye to my family in Dunedin, it finally all became a reality when I got off the plane in Kuala Lumpur and noticed the crazy heat!

My flight to Auckland was nice and short we arrived at about 10.30pm at night and sat around outside hoping a bus would come to take us to the ibis hotel where we were staying! It finally came about 45min later and we were very happy to get to bed, although sleep was hard as we were so excited!

We woke up early the next day and decided jut to walk to the terminal as it was light now and we knew were we were going! We reached the airport and checked our bags in, did a bit of shopping in duty free and then after about four hours of waiting we were finally on the plane ready to take off to Malaysia!

The flight to Malaysia felt incredibly long, probably due to the fact this was my first 12 hour flight and I just wanted to get there! But also the fact that my tv decided to stop working two hours into the flight (Helens never worked at all :( ) and I was stuck in the middle I the plane with two people on either side of me so not the most comfortable position to be in, we have decided we are demanding window seats for our flight to London haha! But with all of that we survived and touching down in Kuala Lumpur felt amazing!

After a one hour taxi ride from the airport to the city we arrived out the front of the royale chulan, our five star hotel and it didn't disappoint! We were greeted with Staff grabbing our bags and carrying them for us into the hotel which looked like something out of a movie. It's huge! Walking from the check in desk to the lift is about 100m it's crazy! We are lucky to be on the fourth floor with an amazing room and view! We were so tired so went straight to bed but couldn't wait to explore the next day!!
