Today was a Looooooonngg walk around Como and trying to find George and Amal Clooney to see if they would adopt us... I'm still hoping we will run into him (or Amal) so I can se my very best puppy dog face to convince them we are house trained and worth adopting..
While on the hunt for our new home we thought we would take a look around the hotel and the village and see what Como has to offer... Scenery is the answer. Beautiful, picturesque mountains surrounding a stunning lake that make the little village seem even more quaint.
After taking one or two wrong turns (I did not have the map by the way) we happened upon a waterfall! Seriously, like in the middle of houses and stuff. Someone's back yard is a waterfall! How cool is that?! Anyway, after cossing over the "do not cross chain" we took a few photos and headed back to what we thought was the right way, until I look back and Mick's not there. Seems someone stepped in s*** (hehehehe) and was looking like a little girl with a spider in her hair the way he was waving that thing about (again, hehehehe).
Have I mentioned the crazy narrow roads? I'm sure I have (spolier alert! I'll propbably mention it again before we leave) but it seems I didn't learn from the day before when we awere driving in because we decided to walk into the town and grab some lunch. We got beeped twice and Jess nearly got hit by a bus. Well, I'm sure the driver was skilled enough to navigate the skinny roads, but he took up all of the road just to get around the corner and if there had been a car (or god forbid anther bus) coming the other way then there would have been a Jess and Mick sandwich on the road.
We made it to the center of Como and had found some markets and cruised around untill we found a cute little restaurant with a manger who could speak english (phew) and was so lovely, we had to buy the whole bottle of wine we had with lunch (a little dutch courage for the walk back?)
Seen as though we still had some wine left over from the night before, we decided to keep drinking untill our lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant (you the ones that over look the lke and its really beautiful and stuff? yeah that one).
Venice tomorrrow :)
