After a 10 hour coach ride from Melbourne, it was lovely to be welcomed by Stevens cousins.I instantly felt part of the family, which was really appreciated after travelling for such along time.
We spent a great two weeks at Anns house, she even drove us tothe outback to see Lou in Quorn, (a very remote small town). Enjoyed walks up Devils peak and Flinders Rangers, stunning scenary. Drove round wineries, tasting Australia finest, very enjoyable. Swimmed with Chris at Adelaides Olympic Pool, very imppresive facility.
During this time we really felt we needed to start working, however as winter was approaching most harvest work was complete. We decided to buy a car, as we thought it would improve of our chances of finding walk. As we waited for the orange harvest we decided to do a spot of WOOFing (Working on Orgainc Farms) in the Adelaide Hills. Susans house was on a beautiful hillside. She had ponnies, alot of land and a veggie garden. In a exchagne for free board and food, we worked a few hours mulching, weeding, prunning, chasing stray calves and fixing fences. Its was a real joy to be working outside in the frsh air together.
