Hello again, the time has come for another update, i have been selectd to do uluru!!
this adventure started at alice springs, a little town, well i oould hardly call it a town, or a village, it was this little place, with not much around you, alot of red sand and hills!! but they did have some shops! so it was ok.
we got picked up from our hostel, which by the wy had little rock wallabies living just behind it so you could feed them, and they were wild, but so cute! anywa back on track:
we got picked up at about 5 in the monring, it still felt like midnight, it was rediculas! a big 4x4 lorry thing pulled up, it was huge, we were first on so bagzied the best seats, we then did the rounds collecting everyone else, it was different this trip, becasue we did the 'in style' option the other travellers wer of the old generation, no loud chavs or anything, we were loving it!
on the road and we did few toilet stops before rriving at the first rock which was 'the olgas' they were nice, we did a wlk around them, and got some aazing photos. they were reall pretty, weird just a big wobbly rock in the middle of no where.
after the olgas we went to camp which we wer all happy about as they were ready made little houses made out of tents, they were great, especially compared to the fraser island tents, it was luxury. we had a spot of lunch then heded out to ayres rock which was the main attraction, they were takin us in time to see the sunset. we were stood there quite awhile thinkin when s it going to do a back flip or sumthing, as it was just a rock!! but it is a very amazin huge rock in he middle of no where, we got given a glas of champagne and some cheese and biscuits to accompany us as we watched the sunset!! all very romantic eh! but it was pretty, then went back to camp for tea and bed!
next monring we got woken at somehting rediculas like 5 AGAIN!! to see the sunrise over the rock! which was a lot better then sunset, although we didnt have champagne this time! the rocks change of colour was rellly gorgeous, it went liek a really bright orange to red and it just changted before your eyes you could hardly se it happen then you would look uop and it had changed colour again!! beautiful!
after the sunrise we did half base walk around the bottom, a really nice experience, we all touche the rock! we just wished we had had a guide with us to tell us about it! but we tried to ear wig into other groups guide talks! there wer still some rock drawings on it from agaes ago, its got such an amazing history! it was facisnating!
after the rock we headed to kings canyon, went to camp for tea and we all roasted a marshmellow over the camp fire, the tents here were nicer not one web!! annnie was frettin th night before because there were 2 spiders in there tent but they were tiny!!
at kings canyon the next day we did a KILLER OF A WALK, it was all worth it though, the veiws were spectacular! the first bit of the walk was called heart attck hill, it was a killer but we all survived! we learnt about a bit of kings canyon which was interesting! but i have to say by theend, i was glad it was over!! i was knackered!! 3 hours it took us!! but gorgeous all the same!
after the walk we headed back to alice springs where we met up with some people of the trip at night for tea which was nice as we had a met a really nice couple called pene and greg they were lovely, they looked after while on the trip! like our adopted mum and dad, bless them!
good trip!!!!
