Hey guys!
Today is my last day in Oz so I thought it was time for a quick update!
I have spent the last 11 days or so travelling around the Northern territory and despite being ill for most of the time, I have loved it! Feel like I've experienced the true Australia, although I must confess I wasn't brave enough to try eating a whitchitty grub!
Started off in Alice Springs, which I was greatly disappointed to learn, doesn't actually have a spring, it looks more like a large pond but oh well! We then headed down to Kings Canyon where I spent a night in a swag camping under the stars! Then we headed down to Uluru and Kata-Tjuta, otherwise known as Ayers Rock and the Olgas! Loved it down there, it was magical! We watched the sun rise and set over Uluru and I also did a scenic helicopter flight down there which was fantastic!
We then headed back up to Alice and up towards Darwin via Tennant Creek and Katherine. Just before we arrived here we went to Kakadu National Park which I know Fi was very jealous of! It was beautiful, saw lots of Crocs and other animals as well as some fantastic aboriginal art!
Now I'm in Darwin and I head out tonight to Sydney and on to Christchurch! I start my Ski course on Saturday although I don't think i officially start skiing till Monday which should give me time to kick this cold!
The other awesome news is Matt has booked to come visit me in New Zealand for a couple of weeks so I'm really excited about that too!
I did just try to upload a whole load of photos and it got most of the way through and then failed! When I get to NZ i promise I will persevere until it works but for the time being I just don't have the time/energy!
Love you all so much! Keep the messages coming, I need them to keep me happy! xx
