Picked up for our trip to Capri by a little old half size bus with plastic seats that were not designed for adults to sit on - very interesting, and beautiful ride to Marine Del Cantone, Nerano.
Cruised right around the isle stopping at Marine Piccolo where we were shuttled up to Capri - the main town. Walked to the main points of interest at this level with our guide including fabulous views and gardens before having a lemon slushy (it's all to do with the lemon here) and taking a wander before heading back to our meeting point. There was some cloud cover at up until this stage which made it a little cooler but more humid - dripping!
Shuttled up to Ana Capri, the main smaller township higher up on the isle, on the road known as 'Mama Mia' street ... We walked to the Greek steps with our guide (there are over 7000) before heading off in search of lunch and the chairlift as the sun came out - OMG very hot and humid - sticky dripping!
The single chairlift was fun and I'm sure we got some good photos on the way up and down and from the top too.
Oh yes, had to have an ice cream at the top too.
We just missed the 3pm shuttle back downy to Marine Piccolo so checked out a little more of Ana Capri until our shuttle at 4pm. Just enough time to whip off our shoes and socks to have a paddle in the beautiful aqua water, the stony beach giving an exfoliation too!
Same bus trip but in reverse, maybe the best swim I've ever had (very refreshing) then a walk into S. Agata, the little town our hotel is sitting on the edge of. Walking along the road up here is like taking your life out of your own hands!
Ended up having dinner at a restaurant not far from our hotel. It was great food and service until other people arrived.
Another amazing day.
PS: we kept our balcony door open and were not smoked out of our room.
