This morning we decided to go on a dolphin cruise in Port Adelaide. We headed out to the Port and when we got there we were faced with extremely cold temperatures, nearly colder than Blayney! It was so cold that we both had to go into the shops to buy extra clothes, scarfs and jumpers, to keep warm. Yet those weren't nearly enough. The wind that was blowing felt as if it had come from the Atlantic! (But we could just be sulking).
Once on the boat, just before we left the dock, Jen realized that she had not taken her motion sickness tablets... My only concern was that she was going to be sick everywhere, but mum came up with a solution. She said that it could lure the fish and dolphins to the boat... Talk about gross!
On the boat we were told about the various industries that were conducted along the harbor. Industries from the storage of grain, building and repairing navy ships and old navy ports that once situated the defense line of SA. Yet, even though this was all interesting it was still freezing!!!
After the 1hr long cruise we managed to see a handful of dolphins ( probably the same ones each time as the captain said that they were swimming with the boat). Jen, not being the master photographer that I am, was not able to capture any photos of the dolphins. With Jen beginning to get frustrated I jumped in and saved the day! Managing to snap one, amazing, shot of a dolphin.
Once back on dry land we went and explored a "pirate ship" called 'One and All'. It was so well maintained and even had real life pirates.... Okay I kid, but they were dressed up as them! After the ship we started walking down the wharf only for me to realize that my jumper that I had bought from rivers, of all places, had a hole on the cuff!!! Talk about disappointment. (That is why I never liked the place. Dodgy.)
I soon got over my disgruntlement and we walked over the maritime museum and had a wonder around. We had a look at the various navy histories and even tried our luck with an old fortune teller machine. Let's just say that even if you fortune started out good there was always a negative. We also had a surf on a springy surf board which we both tried our true Aussie surfing skills.
We went and hung out with Phil, Steph and the kids and gave Phil our last hugs & kisses of the trip as we wouldn't see him tomorrow.
Coming back near our 'home' we decided that we would go out for dinner at Primo and go to the movies... Again :) (I recommend the movie 'August: Osage County'. Good movie). But the time between dinner and the movie was pretty lengthy so we decided to fill our time with tunz-of-fun. And we had "tunz-of-fun"! We played many arcade games and won enough tickets for a friend for Lyon. It's a pig and his name is Rodger. ( and Jen being Jen had only enough tickets left over for one redskin. Which she ate).
Once back are the house we tidied up and packed our bags for the continuation of our trip the next morning.
