Hello everybody, sorry we've been crapwith updating this..must have been having far too much fun!! so been in NZ for just over 2 weeks and been travelling round lots, a different place every night it seems!!

ok so sfter leaving Aukland we got the magic bus, which takes u round the 2 islands and stops at the main places. headed to Roturua and stopped off at Waitomo to do black water rafting..before u ask, this is getting dressed up in another wet suit (we just love them too much!) and sitting in a rubber ring, then sailing down a river in pitch blackness, freezing water, water falls. ok i'm not selling it too well, but it was amazing, u couldnt see where u were going but were led round by a guide and linked to the rest of the group! the way was lit by glow worms-very pretty! there was a water fall, which we fell in to, that was a bit scary and then a slide (that jen screamed her head off down!!). i was a really fun trip and apart from freezing to death was very funny and got a load of good/embarrasing pics!! so after that on to Roturua and spent 2 nights here...the next day at roturua we went to the Hobbiton set, where the Shire was filmed. it is a farm set in the country, so very pretty. we got to see the hobbit-holes where Frodo etc lived but they were not allowed to be decorated as in the film, but good non the less!

the next day we headed to Taupo and visited geizers and ho mud pools on the way..the area as all geo-thermic so the hot pools were everywhere, and there was a certain 'smell' in the air!! just after this we travelled to Rockin Ropes, where Liz bravely risked her life...chill parents im joking, she did the rope swing, which involved her swinging from a very high tower..much scarier than it sounds!

in Taupo we...umm well drank actually! there wasnt a lot to sell it, a big old lake that is bigger than Singapore..woo! it's a great place for sky-diving and bungee. but once again chill parents we didnt do any of these! headed out in the evening to an irish pub (again!) and got a little merry..free drinks however!! met some great people on the same bus as us so spent the evening with them. the next day was not pretty...hangover and long journey..oh yay!

next stop Wellington and staying in a very groovy hostel indeed..with a fried breckie for $1 hell yeah! spent the next day getting to know the city and went to a museum..quite interesting. took a walk round the very rainy city and surprised that shops were closing at 4!!!on a saturday!!! what?!! that evening we thought a night out wud be a good and rare idea..ha! so went to the hostel bar for cocktails and beer..which we have developed a liking for of recent..with a matching belly..sexy! some guys were there ona stag-do so we had to avoid all eye-contact with them!! then went into town and proceeded to try all the clubs in wellington! didnt get too far but visited 3..so quite impressive really! the last place had an amazing chocolate cocktail..so only fair to try it really!! very good evening all in all...and the 2 girls we've met on the way are a real laugh..we blame them for our drinking problem!

so the next day we headed on the ferry to the south island..nursing a lovely hangover..again!!never learn! picked up on the other side by the bus and on to Nelson...another cool hostel with a swimming pool and hot tub. took a walk into town and then got lost....ahem....

from there it was on to Greymouth where we stopped along the way at cutesy towns and mountain views. our hostel rated well with us..as it had get this...a friggin BUBBLE BATH!!! and free CAKES!! luxury! then to top off the fabulousness we went on a brewery tour in town. for people who dont particularly enjoy beer...we did good!! got to taste 8 different types of ales ans beers in mini pint glasses. the strangest was the 'fariy liquid one' hmmm! so we stumbled out of there very happy and merry!! we got a bbq from the pub and another pint of beer!!yep we are such alcoholics!!! was a very good night indeed!

so today we are in Franz Josef and could have done a helicopter tour of the glacier..or a hike but we are too poor so opted out!! spent a good day watching films..like Lord of the Rings..we're there u know?!!!

so off to queenstown tomorrow..meant to have great nightlife...oh dear!!! we may try skiing..we really hope its cheap!!
