As promised on monday night we had a barbie and few beers and vodka. We ended up being so rowdy that the neighbours upstairs came down to tell us to shut up!

Tuesday was slightly more subdued, following mon night, and we mainly just stayed around the villa and had a swim in the sea in the afternoon.

On wednesday, Al, Miranda, Aron and James went to hire mopeds. Being the sensible girl that I am, I declined to hire one and blankly refused to sit on the back of one............. that was until they turned up looking like hell's angels and persuaded me to give me a ride down to the beach and further if i felt safe. Alice having fallen off hers within site of the hire place suggested that I ride on the back of James' as he appeared to be the best driver. It felt very secure and James and I had a warning sign when I didn't feel safe cos I'd grab his belly instead of holding the bike!!

We spent the day driving round the island and stopped at a really beautiful beach and a waterfall. We then headed home for the day and the evening took a considerable down turn.

As Alice was dismounting her bike, her leg touched Miranda's hot exhaust and took off a few layers of skin, ouch!!! She was very brave and we got her straight into the cold shower and then with a cold compress. Today it looks puss filled but we're sure that's a good sign! Whilst all this was going on, I was stripping down to my bikini, only to discover the worst case of sun burn across my belly I have ever seen. I am literally as red as a tomato and spent all day yesterday in bed cos the sunburn really tired me out and I have to sleep on my back or else it feels like someone is holding an iron across my stomach, not cool!!!

Am heading to Fiji today and we think we're going to spend a couple of nights on the mainland, because the hostel is air conditioned and has a swimming pool!, and then do some island hopping. I think my phone should be working on most of the large islands so I expect birthday texts, preferably with mms pictures of the presents I have been bought!
