Happy Saturday! Only 2 weeks left! Today was a chill day before things really takeoff for the remainder of the program. Its really hot here today and the sun is incredible...I don't think I've seen this kind of light, except for on like 2 occasions when it came out in Arles, France. Today I got groceries and went to the Nachmarkt and Flea Market (Vienna is home to one of Europe's largest, apparently). The highlight of the day was definitely seeing LANG LANG!! ...

Thursday Thursday! Week 4 of classes: OVER! Today was my third piano lesson... I really like my teacher. She gives me the boost of confidence that I need, but at the same time, constantly gives me feedback that I can really use. I'm excited about starting my music, and she is helping me understand that I need to be patient so that I don't get twisted fingers and arms. Tonight was an excellent dinner. Alicia made Fajitas!!! It was really great to have chicken and peppers and cheese...it made me miss taco bell. yes, taco bell. I'm over halfway done at this point, and I've been homesick a lot. So I'm trying to let go and really just delve into everything that Vienna has to offer...let's see how much I can do in the next 2 weeks :)

This week in history class, we are studying Beethoven. Today, appropriately, we analyzed and had a lecture on his 5th Symphony...probably one of the most famous works of its genre. In class, our professor played the funniest recording I've ever listened to... it was a Concert Cast by PDQ Bach of Beethoven's fifth. They provided commentary to the music that was not only completely accurate, but hilarious too. They announced it like a baseball game. I tried not to ...
