We flew to Alice Springs on Monday 6th November and bid farewell to Adeladie and our comfy hostel in Gelenelg... and all those yummy ice creams. Jen and I signed up for the Mulgas 3 day Ayres Rock Experience.... this involved 3 days of walks to Uluru (Ayres Rock) Ka ta ju tu and Kings Canyon and also meant 2 nights of camping in swags out under the stars... NO TENTS GUYS THIS WAS PROPER BUSH CAMPING... Well almost!!

We arrived at Alice Springs and the were greeted by an incredible heat... we had free airport shuttle bus pick up so we didn't have to fumble around for money for cabs blah blah blah... it also meant we got chatting to some other people on the shuttle bus and realised they were also booked on the same tour as us. We opted fro a quick stroll into town to stock up on essentials (beer and water for the trip) dinner and then an early night - we were up @ 5am the next day....

The hostel offers free brekkie so that made the getting up at ridiculous o'clock a whole lot easier... once we'd munched some peanut butter on toast and swigged some coffee we were off on the bus to Uluru.....

Everyone was pretty sleepy at this time so there wasn't too much chatting... except from our guide Chris... but he has the most energy in the world!!

After our firts stop at the camel farm, to grab free coffee and have a camel ride (optional) everyone was awake....

Jen and I have to say that Chris (our guide) made the trip for us..I don't think we could have had anymore fun then we had on his tour.. he was amazing!!!! and he prepared Kangaroo tail for us too on the second night... check out the piccies... it's a lengthy process to get the tail cooked just right!!! and before you ask.. it tastes like fatty lamb.

When we arrived back to Alice after 3 days away... we had an hour or so to shower (yeah) and then we were all meeting up for dinner in the hostel restaurant.. The Last Supper if you like.

After everyone was fed and wateredwe decided it was time to sample the Alice Springs night life... so we all rocked up to 'Melankas Party Bar' and spent the rest of the night throwing shapes on the dance floor... like crazy mo fos.  !!!

We didn't get to bed till after 3 that night..... which meant we had all made it through 24 hours ( we were up at 3am that morning) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
