Hey everyone,
Ah I'm so sorry for not writing in the blog as much! Everyone keeps asking me to write more but the truth is I'm not quit sure what exactly I would write in it. I basically have just been in Sevilla..I live here now so what I do everyday is pretty routine. I'm definitly not bored though and have been keeping very busy and still having the time of my life. Everyday I realize how gorgous this place is. I still find myself getting caught in situations though were I wish I was back in the U.S. where everyone spoke English. I got a sim card with 2 hours on it..it ran out in four days..This was about a week ago and i haven't got more minutes yet..i definitly got screwed over and everyone time i go to fix it nothing gets accomplished..im giving up on the cell phone there seems no possible way to have one without getting ripped off!! But anyways life without a cell phone is nice..im just thankful i have wifi at my house or i dont know what i would do! Just for a quick recap:
My favorite night so far was the London vs. England soccer game. Futbol is like the one thing that EVERYBODY loves here. We watched the game in a bar nearby. 1 euro cervezas and vino..can't beat that. Met some very nice spainish guys there who took us out for the rest of the night. They loved us and can't wait for us to meet up with them in Granada where they live. Also saw Beckham getting on the bus..very exciting!
Favorite Food: Which you saw in the pictures was that queso..de ..i forget but it means goat cheese. It was DELICIOUS! It was glazed in honey and fired like they do crem brulee and you eat it one crackers. That night we met up with an intercambio (a spanish friend that ISA sets us up with to help us with spanish) so Pedro, our new spanish friend, took us out to some local tapas bars in sevilla..he took us to an area we had never been to before so that was really cool and a definite must go back place!
Favorite Spot to Hang: Well this is a hard one because everywhere is beautiful..but on valentines day Me, Susie, and my friend Alvaro who came to visit from Madrid took bikes around to site see. We ended up at Plaza de Espana (havent posted pictures for it yet) which is the most gorgous place I have ever been too! the pictures do it no justice! It is half a huuuuge circle with gorgous architecture..and not just plain colors. It has amazing blue and yellow designs all over it. Anyways then we met up with our friends at the river. I'm pretty sure everybody that lives in Sevilla was there. It is definitly going to be the place to be when the weather gets warmer. You just sit on the lawn and picnic, sleep, read, talk, snuggle, whatever your heart desires
Alright so not sure what else you all want to know but..hmm the ice cream is amazing..are host family is never around, they pretty much have their own life going..they make us pizza, and microwave tortilla for dinner, Lunch is usually really good..always soup and something deep fried though. we just got a ton of oranges and i could probably just live off those. The people I have met in ISA are hilarious. I can't believe such funny people exsist in this world. We have a pretty nice crew gathered together and have already planned a trip to London in March! and Susie and I just booked a trip over one of our breaks to Paris, Amsterdam, and Brussels! So excited, but its also pretty stressful trying to find cheap flights and times to go. this actually turned out pretty long, im sorry, but hey now you have someting to read! I'm off to a huge Carnival in Cadiz tomorrow so I'm just going to rest up tonight. Buenos Noches :-)
Miss you all!
