Hi again,
We have now had two nights in the Hippy Mobile and we are getting used to it. The first night wwas freezing but we have enough covers and sleep in enough layers to ensure we make it through the night.
The campsites down here are superb. They have excellent facilities including large kitchens which means we don't have to cook outside in natures elements. All this for less than a tenner!
Yesterday we had a superb cruise around Akaroa harbour where we saw dolphins and seals. The place really is beautiful.
We then drove down to Dunedin which took us around 7 hours. It didn't help that we some how got lost once we reached the city and ended up staying at a campsite 30 minutes further than we planned but again it was a nice one.
We are now in the city centre. The guidebooks say it is based on Scottish towns but as we havn''t been there all we can say is that it confirms my ealier statement that New Zealand is very oldy worldy. We are meeting with Fraser tonight who we met in China and he is going to show us student life which should be fun.
We hope you are all well.
Rob and Jen
