Bye Bye Sydney. Again!

Well, Christmas and New Year is finally over. Thank god. I spent an absolute fortune, went out all night, every night for two weeks...it was brilliant! It seems like everyone in Australia wants to be in Sydney for Christmas, so I was lucky to be able to meet up with lots of different people I have met here in the last six months. Our flat was brilliant, as the six of us living there are all good friends plus we had lots of old flatmates staying so it was just a big constant party.

I am ashmed to admit the number of nights (well, mornings) I spent in Scruffy Murphy's. My life here does seem to revolve around that place!! But they did put on a free boat cruise for us all on Christmas Day and supply food and drink, an amazing day and one I will always remember!

New Years Eve was everything I expected it to be and more. Had an excellent day sitting in the botanical gardens in sydney, felt like a festival and then the fireworks at midnight were amazing! If anyone ever gets the opportunity to be in sydney for new years then it is totally worth it.

In between these two nights was just a lot of drinking. Its probably best just to look at the photos as my memory is a bit fuzzy!!

And now everyone is leaving Sydney! I am heading off in a few days to go to Byron Bay. A few of my friends are already there so I will meet up with them and head up to coast towards Brisbane. Am flying off to New Zealand at the beginning of Feb...will be my first time travelling all alone so am a bit nervous but mostly excited, can't wait to go there. Then back to Australia in March and from there I am not sure. Will keep you posted!! If I do stay here for another year I will expect visitors!!!
