Hello everyone! We left Chiang mai. We really liked it. It was a nice change from crazy Bangkok. The last day we went and checked out the tigers. Its very cool. We saw the small and large tigers. They are not drugged but instead kept constantly very full so they are not looking for food and often tourists come in the heat of the day and so they are lazier given that they are nocturnal. Hi! Back from our two day one night mountain trek. It was amazing! We started off at the market where our leader picked up the food we would need. It's neat to see the different markets and see how different they are from the typical grocery store in Canada. Questionnable food storage but given that the fish are still breathing the seafood must be fresh. Then we made way out of the city and into the mountains where we went on an elephant ride. Hello everyone! We have arrived safe and sound in Chiang mai.We took the night train which went smoothly except that it arrived 3 1/2 hours later than expected. We are off to go jungle trekking for 2 days and 1 night to ride elephants, raft and stay in the village with a family. So we will be out of touch the next day or so. Hope all is well at home... were having a great time!
