Well, We've continued to meet as a Student Life team and have gotten to know some of our colleagues. We are broken into small groups to better get acquainted, Mark and Mindy are my team members, we decided we would be team Midwest because we all have ties to the area.

Tonight, during our conference call we recieved our collateral assignments and I will be chairing the Emerging Groups committee who will work with students forming organizations during the voyage. We will be planning the student involvement fair within the first week of the voyage.

I've been working on slowly packing and collecting items I will need. It started as a small laundry backet and it's starting to overflow. I dropped a good chunk of change at Target this week buying toiletries and a new swimsuit...it's super cute! But I still have some things on my list. Right now I'm working on balancing comforts of home with deciding how high maintenance I'm going to be on the voyage, who knows where the balance will be. But as of now I'm going to be packing simple and basic clothes that can be worn many ways.

I'm working on booking flights and hotel rooms for a short stay in Florida before we head out. But things are moving forward and I have less than 6 weeks! Til then I'm working on clearing out my building here and will then focus my attention onward.
