Bula!

This is the traditional Fiji greeting and I must say the people here are incredibly kind and always smiling. There was even a badn to greet us when we arrived at the airport. I have never had that experience in Indy! :) So I Have been here for 27 hours and still do not have my luggage (left in LA). I went to Nadi central yesterday to buy a few items and walked away with a free Fijian sarong, customary for men here.

Fiji is beautiful and I am heading to the beach today as soon as i get my backpack. I have been surprisingly laid back about not having my 'stuff", but then again I am in fiji. I have met some travellers from London, Ohio, New Zealand, and Canada. The comraderie is so amazing and we spent most of the evening just chatting.

I hope all is well with each of you. I hope to have some more photos for my next entry. On saturday, i leave on a 4 day bus tour aroudn the main island and will experience soem tribal village ceremonies, a natural mud pool and hot water spring, some hiking, and likely some incredible food (alot of Indian influence here).
