It's so great to be back from the land of the zombies, now that the jet lag has subsided. I woke up refreshed courtesy of my gargantuan king bed and comfy suite. After a hearty breakfast, I boarded the ferry to Manhattan and headed to West Village. It's a charming area with lots of historic buildings and cozy small shops. After a cinnamon chai latte from Starbucks, I embarked on the subway on to 42 st and the Harry Potter exhibition. It was quite a treat to see so many memorabilia from the movies: wands, robes, Hagrids chair, even Harry Potter enrollment letter! It was awesome. Now I'm eating a gluten free burger and drinking blueberry/mint/agave lemonade. I don't know how the city knew it was my favorite drink ever, but there it was on the menu card :) Feeling quite welcome indeed! Next stop: Empire State Building!
