I just came back from my first baseball game at Fenway Park, the oldest ball park in the States. My hands were smeared in ketchup and cracker jack molasses, it was freaking cold and rainy, the Red Sox lost: in short, I had an amazing time! :)
The park really looks old-fashioned and it´s like stepping back in time or being inside a baseball movie. I got some gear at the official merchandise store (including a commemorative opening season ball and obviously a pair of red socks), including an awesome t-shirt my dear friend Bazzette pre-ordered in advance (thanks dear, you´re so awesome!) and then we headed for our seats. The game is notoriously slow (it lasted about 3 hours), but it is great fun if you love baseball and/or you want to experience something quintessential american! Our tickets included the delicious cracker jacks, and I even found gluten-free hotdogs to complete the experience, of course washed down with root beer :) As it was raining we saw the team work of the "rakers" as well, cleaning the field and laying out the protective cover during the intermission. The Red Sox lost, but my experience was definitely a winner! :)
Note: updated photos in the New England album, as well as videos in the video section, including a home run! :)
