Today I took the famous Boston Duck Tour! It´s a sightseeing tour, done on a very special ex-military vehicle that can travel both on land and on water, so you actually get to take a trip in the Charles river as well as in downtown Boston. The drivers are real characters and you get to laugh and quack a lot during the 1 1/2 trip, but at the same time you get to hear a lot about Boton history, which is so rich! It can truly be called the city of Freedom: all the way from the Mayflower to Plymouth and the first colonies, to the Boston tea revolution, the freedom trail, even the two staples of the american constitution (freedom of speech and religion) have their origin in this city. Heck they even have a piece of the Berlin wall, they were the first to offer a public library service as well as the first to abolish slavery. It is truly a fascinating history, which epitomizes the funding spirit of the United States. The tour is well worth it for any tourist as you get to see the main highlights, as well as have a fun ride! :) More pictures in the updated New England photo section.
