Hi, Craig here. After a lot of tours and busy days in America, Japan and Hong Kong we decided to take it easy in Singapore and treat ourselves in our luxury hotel! Jean enjoyed some shopping, some spa treatment and a wee haircut and I hit the gym and lounged around the pool area. Also spent some time with a friend from Hong Kong which was great. Yesterday, though, we did go on a tour to Sentosa in the afternoon to visit an underwater world and watch a dolphin show. This was followed by an amazing light, lazer, water and special effects show at night which unfortunately was accompanied by the most cheesy music and acting I have ever seen. Before the effects kicked in we were pretty worried about what on earth we had gotten ourselves into!
Singapore's been brilliant and we got a chance to recharge our batteries before heading to India and Nepal.
So kids at Ochiltree:
Gav - As far as I can gather the Ninja (or Shinobi) appear to no longer exist in Japan as they were generally mercenaries or hired assasins during a time where there were far more battles and wars. People in general are more aware and knowledgable of their practices nowadays so it would be more difficult to be the unheard and unseen raiders or spies they were known to be. They seemed to fade away around the 18th century although there may still have been some ninja activity afterwards.
To Leah and Robert - I'm not very familiar with Manga and Anime although I have watched some interesting movies which are Anime. I've never tried drawing any of the characters though maybe you could give it a try!
