Arrived to Cebu through a little speed ferry ( Weezan Ferries ), leaving rain behind me on Bohol. Perfect timeing. Instead of standing in line at the ferry terminal, I took my backpacks on my shoulders and started walking. Was suprised how little Cebu City actually is. Walked out of the habour and on to one of the big roads, and got myself a taxi and headed for my hotel. Traffic is not as bad as everyone said it would be, and I even arrived at rushhour around 16 PM. Got to my hotel and settled in, and tried to contact the two australians I met on Bohol, who said they would be in Cebu City. Their number was not in service so I said screw it, and went to Ayala Center, one of the big shopping malls in Cebu City. Took a stroll around and bought myself a new pair of shoes and some t-shirts. Went to the top of the mall and found a netcafe to check up on everything, and noticed they had tried to contact me through facebook. Had to meet them at the Waterfront hotel, also known as Lahug. Met up with them and we decided to get some drinking going. So, when you say "tourist bar" to a taxi driver that does not speak english, they automatically think you wants to go to a stripbar. So the first place we got to was known as "Arena". Apparently this was a very beloved place by koreans, no line, but hte places was filled with koreans. Also, it was a dragqueen show going on, so after having a short laugh, we went back up and got ourselves a new taxi towards "Infinity", also a stripbar. We decided it was time to get something to drink since we had been driving around for some time. We got a few drinks down, for some reason Alison, the female part of the australian couple, didnt mind so we got some scotch down in shots and had a good laugh at the strippers. At some point in a our drunken fun we decided to get to a nightclub so we got out and found a new taxi. Atleast this time he understood what we wanted and he got us to a decent nightclub. To be honest cannot really remembered what happend after we arrived. Only a few things. Fx, Alison won a dancing contest so we got a bottle of gin or something like that. Cannot remember how much of it we drank, and what I did not remember was the fact we took a taxi home and went past Mcdrivin and got something to eat. I did not remember us being noisy and the security guard trying to make us be quite. And I cannot remember how I got to bed. What I do remember was me staying in bed the most of the day after, ordering roomservice and having hangovers.
Okay so the internet keeps on going on and off, so I am gonna stop here. Did go play tourist today, but the fact the internet keeps on jumping off is pissing me off at the moment since I am still sufering a bit of the throat sickness still.
Though tommorow I am gonna try and approach the adress Ive been giving on Bohol.
Today I went to play tourist and walked around downtown cebu city. Since it was sunday and I went past "Cathedral Minore" it was full of churchwalkers. It is beautiful, but way too crowded. Enjoyed a stroll through the local market, and got myself a decent lunch at one of the local stalls. Went back home again, oh right, still having a bad cough, but atleast the throat pain is over,
