Hi all. very very quick message as we don't have much time...just to let you all know that we are all perfectly safe despite the typhoon hovering over Vietnam at the minute. In fact we are headed up to Hoi An tonight on an overnight train so everything is going ahead and no need to panic. it simply means we may not get to do some of the things on offer due to flooding and we may not get to go to Halong Bay. But our tour leader has been through 5 typhoons before and has never had any problems and he has in fact been put in charge of all the other tours going on in vietnam at the moment so valuable is his knowledge! so just in case anyone was worried (i'm sure you weren't really) no need to panic. plus international media is making it out to be much worse than it is! having a fabulous time still and will fill in more when i have more time! love u all lots, Jay and Laura xx
