Adventures in my Father's land
So for the first week we are staying in Mesenich with my cousin Frank and his wife Barbel. She is so sweet! She has a hard time with English and we have a hard time with German but somehow we all understand each other.
After our long (but somehow not long enough) sleep after the concert, we are taking a little tour of Mesenich, which is a village of about 267 people.
It is a cute little village and they have no stores or shops, but they do have at least one Beirgarten, which is like a small pub. The biergartens are the most common type of business in Germany...kind of obvious, I guess!
Frank is a firefighter, so we toured the Fuerwehr and went around the little village.
It has been a wonderful, relaxing day!
