Its Halloween and we are off to join in whatever activites are here in Nong Kai, which is Northern Thailand.  We arrived this morning after a 12 hour train journey on a 2nd class sleeper train (didn't want the expense of first class!).  We have booked into a really nice guest house 6 pound a night for the room which is probably on the high side but we wanted our own bathroom and air con (keep those pesky mosquitos at bay)  Mind you we have still erected our net which was a site to behold me on Jays shoulders (we could be joining the circus soon)

We are crossing the Friendship Bridge into Laos in a couple of days so we will be uploading some photos soon.  Thanks for all your messages, Shirl & Lisa great to hear from you, was getting slightly concerned!  Lindsey the photos of Sam are ace, he is so adorable, and yes keep sending them.  Jill lovely to hear from you, it was a most unexpected surprise.  Nicky hope you and the gals had a fab time in Skegy it brought a smile to my little face (and a tear as i would have loved to be with you).
