Thought id better let you know what ive been up to the last few weeks.

Went to Johor Bahru 3 weekend ago and from there we crossed over to Singapore for the day. In JB we mostly just shopped and pigged out on takeaways. Think we had McDonalds, KFC and pizza hut twice. Which was all very cheap compared to back home. Sira wanted some new shorts so we were looking around all day bargaining for a good price. We also got a heap of DVDS for about $1 each. But anyway that night after bargaining all day arguing over a few cent for the cheapest price, just coz were in Asia and that's what your suppose to do, we passed a baskin robins ice-cream shop. So we ordered 2 ice creams without even looking at the price and it came to 42ringit which is more than we would have spent on food and everything else we had bought all day. Think they must fly the ice-cream in from Australia each morning.

On the Monday we went across to Singapore for the day. You cross a bridge and leave Malaysia and all of a sudden everything looks so clean. We spent most of the day going around dive shops doing a bit of promo and buying stuff we needed for the shop. Singapore just feels like you're in any big city and after spending the last 3 months in Thailand and Malaysia everything seemed so expensive. That night we walked back to Malaysia because the que to get on a bus or taxi we huge. So you just go through Singapore customs get stamped out and walk across the bridge to the Malaysia customs in JB.

Back at the resort we've been pretty steady with customers wanting to go diving. We had a party here on Sunday for Siras birthday that lasted until 2 in the morning. Everyone was a little to hung over to go diving the next day thankfully

The picture above is of a monitor lizard that wondered into the resort with a tin can stuck on its head the weekend before last. These things a massive and they've got razor teeth, so we all stood well back and let the local boys pull the can off by tying it to a piece of string
