We are sitting in a McDoonald in Cannes taking advantage of the free internet amongst other things. toilet paper for one, and free electricity. Most camping grounds here don't provide toilet paper and the smallest packet you can buy is 4 rolls which we just don't have room for. So whenever we are somewhere where they do have it I roll up some for reserve. Electricity the campings do have but most charge at least 2 euro for it. Just to charge a laptop or gps that seems expensive so whenever I find a power socket I plug all our electronics in to charge.

Anyway what have we been up to. Two days ago we had longest day so far. According to the route planner on our pc it was a good 70 km that we had to cycle. But because you can't take every road with the bicycle (such as motorways), our gps told us it was going to be an 85 km day. But all in all it proved to be fairly doable, even with my first puncture along the way. We had decided to stop either each 15 km or each hour, whichever came first to have a drink or to eat a bite. And it seemed that in no time we were at our camping ground in Le Luc. With our tent pitched off we went for a swim in the swimming pool.

The next day we had decided to ride 60km to a town called Les Adrets. The First 40km to Frejus were very easy going. And after eating some lunch we were ready to tackle the last 20km, but that proved to be a little more difficult. There turned out to be a serious climb ahead of us, which in the heat of the day, with a heavily loaded bike is not the easiest of things. Once we arrived at the top it turned out to be 315 meters high, which Sira was very proud of considering the highest so called mountain in Belgium is some 170 meters.

The camping ground was a good 3 km from the nearest supermarket, so to finish the day we walked their and back to do our shopping, as taking the bikes was not an option at that point.

And now here we are in Cannes on our way to a camping ground just out of Nice. So that tomorrow we can check in nice and early in our hotel in Nice.
