We arrived at the Sky Ranch Lodge where we stayed two nights. It's a bit retro, with real metal room keys. But they had a hot tub and pool and were centrally located. Plus it wasn't very expensive.
On Monday we went on our Pink Jeep tour and had a blast. Quinn did ask if they had any other color of Jeep, but of course the answer is no. I picked the broken arrow tour from reading all the reivew. It was fun, and got you into the back country quickly.
We discovered the Wildflower bread company that was quick and good. It was across the street from Pink Jeep.
For dinner we went to Oak Creek Brewery. It was good, but share. the meals are big!
We also went to Javelina Cantina. It was late, and we still had to wait, but it was good, and the margirita's were tasty.
We also discovered a coffee pub/smoothie bar in one of the shopping centers on near airport road. It was next to New York Bagels and Deli.
On our drive to Flagstaff we went through Oak Creek Canyon. It was beautiful and a must see. In the summer a great place to play would be Slide Rock Park. There are a bunch of camping locations in this canyon, and I would guess fill up in the summer, but this would be a fun place to come back to in the warm months.
