So this weekend I went to Schwarzwald - the Black Forest - in Germany. It was a great trip. We met up with Richie, Jessica and the kids and hopped on a train to Triberg which is a very small city within the Black Forest. We went to these self-propelled roller coaster things called Rodelbahn and went down them like 6x each! I have videos and pictures of it that I will post later. It was lots of fun and I had a great time. We also got to go on a hike along the Triberg Wasserfalls (Waterfalls) which was absolutely gorgeous. It was a beautiful day so we really lucked out with the weather being not too hot and not too cold for our hike. We saw many kuckoo clock stores which were pretty cool because all of the clocks are hand carved and made in the Black Forest. We also saw the largest Cuckoo clock which happens to be on the whole side of a building. That was pretty interesting. On our hike Richie, my friend Ili, and I all did an obstacle course thing that was in the trees essentially. We were harnessed to some ropes and had to walk across a bunch of crazy bridges that were suspended in the air. That was fun but at the time I was freaking out considering that I am afraid of heights! haha. But i survived it and it ended being a lot of fun. I also got to try on a traditional German dress which was pretty intense. haha. i have a few goofy pictures of that too!!! There were plenty of lederhosen available too but I didn't go for those ones. :)
My trip to Triberg in the Black Forest was lots of fun and a great way to relax and just be in nature again. the small town is really cute and surprisingly things are actually open on Sundays! haha. It was beautiful and so much fun!
