So here's the thing.......2 days ago, my lovely husband gave me the following choice:

a) Continue with current plan to cycle the 170 mile 'Way of the Roses' coast to coast cycle route from Morecambe to Bridlington. This means a few days of up (very steep) hill and down dale in the potentially wet and windy weather conditions which have become the norm of this years UK summer.

b) A week in Tuscany. This means 32 degrees, supping the local vino while sitting in the sun and returning each evening to a beautiful mill conversion in the evenings to scoff pasta and drink more vino.

I choose....A!

Indeed....I question my sanity. But I read a quote the other day which struck a chord with me:

So will this be an adventure.....we'll see..............
