It seems similar to Spirit Airlines and we booked the tickets without the additional fare for seat assignments and checked bags. It's interesting - you are only allowed one piece of "hand luggage" and that includes purses or backpacks.

It is about a 2 hour flight, so it shouldn't be too bad. Originally, the flight was booked to leave early afternoon, but it got rescheduled for a 5:00 departure time. We'll have a little more time in Amsterdam, however we'll get to Madrid later on in the evening than orginally planned.

So excited that Tito can take the lead on the Spain leg of this journey with his fluency in Espanol. Should be an interesting plane ride.
