Hi guys
A flash update - as I have not been able to get this site to work until now - almost the last day of my trip! Apologies! Anyway met the gals in BA - did a quick walking tour and a big long lunch (well Eryl was there you see!) and then we went off for a 2 hour tango lesson! So eat your heart out guys - you should have seen me - dressed in my only black skirt that just fitted the tango scene so well! Can`t wait to do it all again when I get back!
We then flew out to the ranch on the border of the Andes to start our ride over the Andes into Chile - was a bit disappointing as the horses were awful and the owners had very little horsemanship and no care for the nags! He ho! The scenery was magnificant throughout save very dusty! Eryl and I had lots of skinny dipping in the very - and I mean very cold rivers - as we are good clean girls unlike the English gals with us!
Even though they did manage to starve me for 24 hours as all they produced was bread and pasta - I was still rolling off the horse as we did no exercise at all save sit on the horse all day! We got to Chile and it poured with rain - but we had lovely well schooled well looked after horses and a chraming couple who took really good care of us - including putting us up in a newly renovated farm house - that reminded me of my grandmother´s house in Pont Nedd Fechan - the only night it rained and organising champagne and meringue birthday cake for me! The Chile Andes was very different - still stunning - but more forests and smaller farms- great to arrive in Pucon and hit the thermal spas - Eryl and I had 2 massages each within 24 hours! Said goodbye to the gals as they headed home and we set off to explore Chile
