Went in search of the rare Nilgiri Tahr mountain goat today. Had a very hairy ride up 4km of single track road in a bus as other buses tried to come past us! Good job the drivers knew what they were doing.
Saw the goats, they didn't look that special actually, but are so friendly and show no fear around humans that they were nearly hunted to extinction.
Gran and I attracted so much attention on the way back to the coach, school kids and adults alike taking our photo and wanting to touch our skin that we decided she should be Dame Helen Mirram, and I'd be Julia Roberts, then on the way back to town went past a field where they were shooting a movie with a real Bollywood actress in.
Our guide thought this was all hilarious. I wonder why?
Went to watch a display of Indian martial arts tonight. It's meant to be the oldest form and has given rise to all of the others?!
Tomorrow we move on to a wildlife park further South, Peyiri, where we may get to ride an elephant.
