Jane and Peter's Travels
We were fortunate with the weather in Duchesnay and enjoyed the walking and cycling. The autumn colours were lovely and the auberge was quiet and peaceful.
As we were close to Quebec we called off at Montmorency Falls on Monday morning and crossed to Ile D'Orleans, a small island in the St Lawrence. Every farm there is selling apples or cider. Beautiful villages and obvious wealth. Architecture is quite different too.
The sad news about the death of our dear friend Jonty has really devastated us, but good internet access at the hotel has meant we can be in touch with the UK. Quebec has been a good place to walk and enjoy some space and tranquility, and time to reflect.
