Great flight from Singapore - which by the way was very hot and humid and must have one of the highest carbon footprints of anywhere given the number of airconditioning units going full blast. We didn't have long enought there to really appreciate it unfortunately but it looks like a place to visit again, Joanna not so sure! maybe go back for the Grand prix probably cheaper than Silverstone!
The plane was virtually empty so loads of room to move about. The flight attendant said that there are four flights a day to and from Singapore but now only the early and late ones are busy. When we arrived the airport was busy but the drive in from the hotel was good. There really is so much construction going on. We asked the driver if you can go up the new Burj Dubai tower but he said it was not finished yet, this seems an emerging theme. Saying that our hotel complex is well and truly finished with I think three hotels and a Souk.
Our room is great, overlooking the ocean with a great view of the Burj Al Arab hotel. I forced Joanna to go out to eat last night, it seems we had been living of airline food for the last couple of days and pizza was necessary!
Not sure what we will do today, Beach, Souk, Mall, Ski slope, Water park; who knows will blog again later, As Jon said in an earlier message its a hard life but someone has to do it and we are up for the challenge W
