The hand-over procedure took 2 hours in sweltering heat of 31 degrees. Tristan did the hand-over, the only hick up being that our break plug didn't match the one on the caravan. No worries......he had an adaptor!
Axel was too hot to move so he sat in the back of the car under a shade sail without budging while the hand-over was in progress. We had cold water BUT no ice creams from their freezer as it had died in the heat.
At last the van was ours and we headed off in our Crusader Inspiration Platinum caravan to camp at Norah Head. It was pet friendly, well maintained, offered drive through sites and cost $32 per night. Axel quickly acquainted himself with the other dogs, I went shopping for supplies (and got lost) while Jim landed the task of putting the new BBQ together.
What more could we ask for? We cooked a tasty dinner of steak and vegetables all on the bbq, had a glass of wine (or perhaps it was a bottle) and relaxed in our ever so comfortable recliner chairs. Well at least Axel and I did anyway!
Jim loves
- the 'through boot' with plenty of storage space
- the shower with instant hot water and room to wash yourself
- LED lighting
I love
- the recliner chairs
- the amount of cupboard space in the kitchen which may never all get used
We both love
- being away!
