Hey everyone.  Here in Tokyo. It took a very long time to get here, 11 and a half hour plane journey, followed by a two hour train journey! When we got here, after our initial walk round, it was time for bed and try to get rid of the jet lag, and to wake us for the night ahead!  Ended up having a few drinks in a local bar by the youth hostel, -not too great, but very friendly.  As the Japanese people seem to be.

Day two-  Up very early! Six o`clock actually!  So we decided to go and see the Tsukiji fish market, one of the biggest in the world, just our look though- the bloody thing is closed!  So onwards to explore Tokyo.  After our initial Mcdonalds breakfast! we are energised for the sightseeing ahead, so onwards to Tokyo Tower... Lots of pics here!!- The thing looks identical to the eiffel tiower- only a liitle bigger (acouple of meters)and red &white!!  After this, we went looking for the Imperial Palace, the home of the Emperor! A little dissapointing as you can only see as much as the gate! But pics are pics,-hey Del!!  After hours and hours of sightseeing, we settled in to the Japanese traditions with a Japanese lunch- a set menu consisting of a noodle type broth with rice and something else, no idea of the name, as menu completely in Japanese(lots of pointing went on to choose our dish!) though pictures to show our selection!  From here we had a walk around Roppongi, the capital of all that is foreign.  The western world in its all glory!! TGI, HARD ROCK Cafe and many many English and Irish bars!- We have found our next night out!!!
