We went down for breakfast after a in...
10 o'clock and I decided for the continental which consisted of cornflakes, fresh fruit, toast and a brew
Our tour guide called upto reception for us to climb down and make our way to the pier, on the way we stopped off at a dive centre and met a fellow Brit called Leanne then headed towards the pier. We arrived and was met with fresh donuts free of charge!
We clambered into the boat and headed towards our first stop, monkey island.
The monkeys greeted us on the beach and posed for a few shots, one was drinking fanta from a cup and these were really tame, I guess after the amount of tourists that visit them they like the food and drink brought to them, I had a quick conversation with one and he said that monkey life was good, but just wished he didn't hang around too much!! I expressed my concern and told him to evolve and he might enjoy the western life a bit more than his current vocation.
We clambered back to the boat and made our way to the next destination, Maya bay.
We entered the beach through the two cliffs and beached the boat. This place was nice, but far to touristy! We sat around watching what was happening, had a few photos then suddenly through the bushes came Leo(Richard)
No one recognised him but he took a group shot for us, he told us his full name, Leonardo ! Made me laugh anyway!!
Back to the boat again and set sail for the next destination, shark point.
As we departed Maya bay we saw a random snorkler but the long boat beside us didn't see him and was heading straight for him! Our boat screamed.... And the boat missed him by inches we were all shouting to see if he was ok and luckily he saw it just in time and swam. The closest I've ever seen anyone to death.
We stopped at a deserted beach and was provided lunch which was savoury rice and headed for a diving point.
We anchored, but the rest of the boat was sceptical of getting in. I donned my fins, mask and snorkel and dived in of the boat. After checking to see if it was ok some others joined me in the water. I was in heaven, there's nothing better than being underwater with so many beautiful colouful fish. I saw parrot fish and a few clowns but this was nothing compared to the red sea.
We headed to our next point shark point, I was so excited at the possibility of seeing a shark in it's natural environment I had my mask on my head ready to dive.
Ten minutes ride later we were there...being first to jump in I looked for the shark, within five minutes I had seen a small reef shark, it's teeth were big and mouth was wide, it swam straight for me but with my natural instinct I right hooked it and wrestled but he was no match for me!! (it swam off soon as he spotted me)
We jumped back into the boat and headed for bamboo island, we arrived and this place was paradise! Few beach huts and bright White sands, crystal clear water and our longboat wad the only transport there! Myself, dani and Leanne sat dreaming and talking for a while then feasted on fresh pineapple.
We boarded the boat and headed for phi phi again whilst watching a beautiful sunset on the way.
We reached the final destination and departed the boat and said out goodbye to Leanne but arranged to meet and later to get wrecked!! ( happy days )
