We leave the motel at Flagstaff, still living on fast food pretty much - 2 sausage McMuffins for breakfast, Burger King for lunch and Chicken Burger and fries for tea today.

Hoover Dam is huge! Walking along the bridge looking down at the drop makes you feel all funny. The water is a fresh deep blue with a green mix to it. On the Nevada Lake side its wide open and calm. When you peer over the over side, the water is pumping through the canyon at some speed.

We take a guided tour talking of the dam's history, originally called 'Boulder Dam'. Built two years ahead of schedule, concrete walls as thick as football pitch.
