Our day in Manila was taken up with a late lye in and a visit to the biggest Mall in Asia (jealous Nan?!). We were on the hunt for a new camera. We rode the Jeepney system and the metro.
Our original plan was to go to the cinema, but there was nothing on that tickled our fancy, so Kirsty treated me to an hour and 1/2 manicure whilst we watched Sex and the City - bliss!
We had wanted to go to the night market for food and some shopping, but the hostel woman lied when she said it is open on Sundays - it is not! Instead we ate at a local restaurant with great fillipino food and some dodgy entertainment. A singing overtly gay waiter sang/shouted a few songs serenading James and getting upset when James told him I was his girlfriend.
We went with Kirsty to check into her flight from hell and said goodbye in the busy terminal 1. We had such a great two weeks with Kirsty joining us, it was so much fun having her for a small part of our trip.
James and I took a taxi (naughty taxi man didn't put the meter on got annoyed when we didn't give him enough money) to terminal three, laid out our clothes and slept until our flight at 06:35AM, which we thought we had missed when they moved the gate number and we had both fallen asleep, woken up and everyone had gone!
