James and I were pretty tired after our overnight flight but had the whole day to catch up on sleep (in the reception area) until the arrival of Miss Kirsty. We did splash out on a pot noodle whilst watching the Manny Pacquiao win his fight. I was distracted from the fight as the Filipino's were going crazy for the majority of the time!
It made a refreshing change that the taxi drivers were playing ball and using their meters. Kirsty was ready and waiting when we arrived and it was brilliant to see her after eight months. She didn't turn up empty handed and came armed with Cadbury's Creme Eggs-as you can imagine these had disappeared before the taxi had pulled out of the airport.
We spent a few hours catching up and I got a beautiful box asking to be Kirsty's bridesmaid. We didn't venture too far, this is Manila after all, but had a wander around Robinson's Mall and ate at an Italian restaurant. Kirsty was pleasantly surprised with the standard of the hostel, until we went to sleep around 12 and music started blaring out at about 3 am from the next door bar!
