Yassou,
Our second day in Mykonos was more chilled out. Sat near the beach, drinking cocktails, eating Gyros and calzones. We took a trip into the town to get some photos in the Arvo of some of the beautiful back streets that are nameless. Took the bus in with our 2 amazing guides Hannah and Mickie. We wandered through the narrow back streets lined with white buildings with blue and green doors and shutters. Took a huge amount of photos, the place is soooo beautiful. Then tried to make our way back to the bus... Figured heading up away from the ocean was the way to go... apparently not, got so ridiculously lost... No wonder the pirates got lost! Managed to make the bus back with 5 minutes to spare. Mickie tried to smuggle a beer onto the bus but unfortunately another bus driver saw him and radioed our bus driver so it was confiscated.
The rest of the night was dinner and drinks back at the beautiful Paradise beach hostel.
The next day we were off on the ferry to Paros... Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Mickie, we plan on catching up with him after the season as he is a fellow perthian. Luckily this ferry was only 45 mins so we got into Paros fairly early. Hannah took us on our island guide after we got to our accomodation and then we moved on to have a look around town for photos and lunch.
Later that evening we took a bus over to the opposite side of the island to a beautiful restaurant called Krios for traditional Greek dinner, cocktails and plate smashing! We both had a seafood and pasta dish and the strawberry daiquiris are to die for. After dinner was plate smashing and traditional Greek dancing. Then the bus took us back to the main town for us to head to a few different bars to try more cocktails.
Then yesterday it was the Anti Paros boat trip! Captain Antonio was very funny and looked after us so well. He took us to a few swimming locations and we stopped at a beach for lunch where we had ouzo, Greek wine, BBQ octopus (Yum!!!), chicken souvlaki, tzatiki and Greek salad. We then headed off to some caves where I braved the cold to jump in and have a swim. The day was very cold but still had a good day.
Last night we sat on the ocean, had more Gyros and drinks for dinner and then headed back to some of the bars from the night before.
We have just arrived in Santorini today and have taken the massively windy road up the cliffs to reach our accommodation Antonio hostel. The people here are beautiful and so is the town. Just put some of our washing in and going to have a quick look around before we head outto dinner in Thira. Tomorrow we are on a 'Bucket List' tour with Busabout looking at all the famous sites of Santorini.
Ok so we have to make a move... Will fill you in next when I can :)
