JAK: Hey!,
So getting to Koh Phangan was nice and easy an hours flight from Bangkok to Ko Samui where we had a slight hiccup every ones bags came through but mine, we waited and waited checked the other belt and nada, with my heart in my mouth I asked the lady and she just shrugs her shoulders, f#*k! I see the little office to report your bag missing and went in to see the score and there was my bag! Phew! I asked the guy why it was here and he said, "I take it and bring it here for you!" ah thanks mate, you knob! Anyway we jumped in a taxi bus to Big Budda Pier to catch the ferry, it was packed with people waiting to get aboard. We never thought we'd get on so we pushed as far to the front as possible, got on with a smile and sat for ages while they crammed hundreds on this ropey looking ferry. That was an experience, arriving at Koh Phangan we rushed past the touts selling rooms to our hotel which was about a 15 minute walk, that's pretty far with these over loaded back packs to get there and realise they have a free shuttle service to collect you from the pier, duh! Oh well. Phangan Bayshore is definitley one of the best hotels here it has newly built rooms with air con, tv, huge double beds, en suite, and a balcony/terrace, the grounds are well kept huge pool and restaurant over looking the beach, perfect location although a little noisy on the build up for Full Moon but we're here to party so it'll be us making the noise.
