Up at 6, and breakfast was the same place as yesterday. Our driver, Pavel, arrived at 10.
Happy to leave this hotel. No air conditioning, which really only affected us the first night. No coffee maker, just some instant stuff that wasn't really coffee. The shampoo came in packets. They didn't make up our room so we had to ask for clean towels. But the location was great.
The Drive to Passau took about two hours and We talked with Pavel the whole time. It was interesting that we didn't have to stop at the German border.
So we arrived at noon but the hotel was very strict about letting us check in before 3:00. We had planned to do laundry but were informed that the laundromat closed at noon on Saturday. Hmm. That could be a problem. We need to clean clothes before we get on the boat.
We got lunch down the street and noticed the great desserts that they had. After lunch we did some exploring but it was very hot. Ended up sitting at a cafe for a while. Sherry and Bill went looking for sunglasses and Jahn and I went back to the hotel to wait.
Finally in the room at 3:00 and everyone took a shower. Jahn read something about a laundromat opened until late. Sherry called but got no answer.
For dinner we had dessert at the place where we had lunch. Yummy! Sherry and Bill decided to check out the laundromat to see if we should try it. Turns out it wasn't. Broken machines, not so clean, etc. so we will hand wash on the ship and have them do some of our things on board.
The hotel offered a glass of champagne, so we took it on the roof and enjoyed the view of the river, city and surrounding hills.
