Katherine Gorge (20.07.2012): Today we travelled 100km from Gungurul in Kakadu to Pine Creek stopping for only half an hour for a little peek at the old mine shafts and for a refuel. Kakadu (19.07.2012): Well I survived my shower trip with only a few mosquitoes for company. There are so many here - more than anywhere we have been. We are covered in bites. On the plus it is not quite as hot. It is around 30 degrees. It feels very different as it is a dry heat. I don't miss the humidity. Kakadu (18.07.2012): We have travelled 300km from Litchfield Park to Kakadu. We made some stops on the way, firstly at Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve and next at Window on the Wetlands. At both places we were able to check out the Adelaide River Wetlands and the wildlife contained within. Some of the birds are exquisite.
