Hello all. You may have noticed the gigantic gap in my blog entries. I believe it is a combination of too much studying (yeah right) and my phone dying in the middle of an incredibly long entry about my 10 day Spring break trip. What does that equal, Riordan family (and friends)? Irritation. I will have to rewrite it though, because my trip to London and Dublin was INCREDIBLE!!
Anyway, the pictures I uploaded yesterday were from my trip to Almeria, Spain's most southeastern province. It's known for its deserts. In fact, many American westerns were filmed there. How about that.
I did lots of hiking, walking along the beach, and exploring the city, which was both modern and old-fashioned. From my pictures you can probably tell I preferred the old parts of town.. The buildings are all sorts of fun colors, which adds to the beauty of the city.
The hiking part of my trip consisted of getting lost in the city (on purpose), and seeing a random staircase in the distance.. Which of course I had to climb! Once I got there, I found more stairs, pathways, old buildings, an Alhambra type fortress, and an incredible view looking over the city and the ocean. Can't find that in Downers Grove.
This Thursday will be my last day in Granada.. It's bittersweet. Before heading home sweet home I will spend some time in Sevilla, Zurich, and Madrid. Will I be back, you ask? You bet :)
