We have been out a few times recently with some people from work and we have made a few really good friends, the sad thing is in this industry people come and go so quickly, it seems like you just get to know them and wham they are gone.
We were supposed to go into London to watch the changing of the guards yesterday but by the time we got on the train we would have missed it, so we headed to the London Eye, but decided to have a look around and get something to eat before actually doing anything. Not such a good idea, after an hour of walking I was starving and had a massive headache so we headed home and I spent the afternoon sleeping off my headache. But last night we went out and played some pool in Wimbledon with Matt, Kent, Damien, Carolina, Luke and I. Matt and Kent are our Managers from work Damien is another live-in bar person and Carolina is a Kitchen Porter, Carolina is Polish and is leaving to go back home to go to University in a week. She is a lovely girl and is quite beautiful. After pool Matt and Kent went home as they both had an important meeting this morning but the rest of us went out to a nightclub in Wimbledon called Pooh Na Na. It was tiny, very crowded and did not have adequate ventilation but we made the best of it and had a really fun night.
On Tuesday morning we went to Canazaro Gardens. Across the road from the pub is Canarzaro House, which is a lavish and quite expensive hotel/resteraunt, surrounding it are the gardens which are open to the public and are completely free! The gardens are absolutely beautiful, large open green hills, shady tree-lined paths, a man made pond with some of the hugest fish I have ever seen, a really great outdoor area, like something you would see in a Shakespeare play, tiny winding steps and narrow paths though bushy areas, tiny hidden seating areas, so peaceful. And I have never seen so many squirrels! They were everywhere. Luke and I will probably go have a picnic there when we have half a day off. Check out our limited photo's as Lukes Camera Batteries are giving us hell.
