Gregor, Eve and Jo picked us up from our backpackers and we headed to Tofo in a Toyota rav4. It took little over 3 hours, when we spoke to sone guys who had taken public transport it had taken them 7!! We were very thankful. On the way we saw miles and miles of coconut palm trees! Eve also had a slight obsession for mangos, and rightly so! She managed to buy two shopping bags full of fresh mangos from some boys at the road side for £1.20!
Tofo beach was stunning, the dive operators were all nice and new, all had good compliant staff, and I could even go kite surfing! What could be better!?! It was a real back packers beach, not overdone with commercial buildings and people everywhere. We stayed at bamboozi backpackers and although expensive compared to Vilancoulos it was worth it. V clean and tidy, although the water was brown and the drinking water was full of chlorine and still upset tummies...
Their was only one other person in our dorm, which was a large round, open thatch building, and he was in his late 50's and called Alfred.
After a quick explore we settled in a bar right on the beach called Dino's and ate some food. I managed a lot better this evening.
