Day 52 23/11/09 That morning we headed straight to the airport to get our plane over the Nazcar lines. I sat upfront and enjoyed the experience. It was cool to see the lines creating various animals in the desert plane below. The reason they are not simply covered up with sand is that the surrounding mountains block any strong winds. Day 47 18/11/09 In the morning I had a walk around Cusco with Chris and managed to get my shoe fixed by one of the cobblers in the main square. At around midday we caught a flight to Arequipa after going out the night before I was out like a light.
