Day 15 Santiago We arrived early into Santiago and after some mucking about were able to get at least a couple of room s in which to shower. Day 14 First thing today was white water rafting. The river though the mountains, on which the rafting is done, is classed into two sections the upper part is a 4/5 the lower a 3/4. However, the recent heavy rain had made the upper section too dangerous for rafting. The lower section was however open and was now up in 4 region. It was brilliant. Day 5 Having packed up our bags we left PAX Hostel and headed to our start hotel for the tour. GAP had let us know that the hotel had been changed and you can imagine how suprised we were when the Hotel Carsson turned out to be a 4 star hotel in the centre of BA. After quickly admiring the red carpets we left to try and exchage my US$ travellers cheques for US$ to pay the local payment of our tour. Day 1 Our trip started with an interesting flight in. In order to get to Buenos Aires we had to take a connecting flight from Sao Paolo and we only had an hour to do it in. Getting through the security controls took an age, so we ended up having to peg it to the next terminal managed to checkin for our flight 15 minutes before takeoff.
